Blastocyst

The cultivation of embryos in laboratory conditions can be done until day 5-6, when the embryo reaches a blastocyst development stage, with a larger number of cells strongly tied together and an interior cavity well distinguished - blastocoele. See below the schematic representation of the embryo development till blastocyst stage from day 5-6.
The growth from embryos to blastocyst is decided considering various factors: the number of harvested oocytes, the number of obtained embryos and their evolution up to 72 hours.
We use a special environment for growing the blastocysts in which we pass the third day selected embryos.
The maximum number of transfered blastocysts is 2, with intrauterine transfer in day 5 or 6.
According to statistics, the chances of success in transfering blastocysts is about 50%.
