It is an easy examination for the patient. With a special intracervical catheter a contrast substance is inserted and using endovaginal ultrasound its passage is tracked through uterine cavity, uterine tubes and finally in the pelvis. Thus, it can be ascertain the tuba permeability, very important in establishing the management of infertility.
